Why do people call dubstep filthy

Post by bluenotes » Wed Jul 28, am we live in a time when people constantly abuse language. Instead of taking advantage of the vast array of adjectives available in so many languages, people use broad, general terms to describe everything.

Post by watoo » Wed Jul 28, am It's not an abuse of language - it is exactly how language has always evolved. Natural progression really.

Jive Lady: Oh stewardess! I speak jive. Randy: Oh, good. Jive Lady: He said that he's in great pain and he wants to know if you can help him. Randy: All right. Would you tell him to just relax and I'll be back as soon as I can with some medicine?

Jive Lady: Jus' hang loose, blood. She gonna catch ya up on da' rebound on da' med side. Second Jive Dude: What it is, big mama? My mama no raise no dummies.

I dug her rap! Jive Lady: Cut me some slack, Jack! Chump don' want no help, chump don't GET da' help! Getting a bit tired of all these sub genres. For the last three years I have advertised my sets as bass music, much easier as it allows me to play anything bass orientated from beats to house, garage, dub, dubstep, future garage, the odd jump up tune, dnb and jungle and beyond.

Much easier to call it bass music and does away with childish names like, 'brostep' 'filth' 'wobble' or any other crap. For an example of what I call bass music check this 20 min mix courtesy of myself: Soundcloud. Bass music lover since day dot. Last edited by muntz on Thu Feb 17, am, edited 1 time in total. No real producers or serious musicians use terms like these, other than as loose adjectives. You've been here for a second What fucking moron decided to speak down upon shit and make it cool???

Fear leads to Anger. Dubstep started off as an underground genre, a fusion of Dub and 2-Step Music, And has slowly gained porularity throughout the 's with increasing popularity fom With artists such as Britanny Spears using dubstep on their albums, and modern dubstep artists, such as Skrillex, Nero and Boregore bringing the music to the masses.

Simply, a genre of Electronic Dance Music based around a non-straightened half-step beat, wherein a bass-drum kick will often but not always play on the first downbeat and a mid-range percussion snares, claps, etc. Sometimes it is said to be a downtempo genre but this is simply a misunderstanding of the concept of a half-step beat. LFO modulated low and midrange basslines are not essential to the genre and alot of dubstep productions do not even incorporate them e.

There is no specific feel to dubstep. It can be thrashy , heavy and dirty e. Skrillex, Excision, etc. Seven Lions, Xilent , etc. Skream , Bassnectar, etc. It can incorporate elements of a variety of different genres ranging from Trance and DnB to Hip-Hop and Nu-Metal, and the reverse is also true. What is Dubstep?

The combination of Molly, lasers, and that song with 84 bass drops made me shit my pants at the dubstep show last night! Good thing there wasn't any money left in my wallet! Person A "Hey, did you hear the new Skrillex track? That's the one! Skrillex isn't even dubstep , retard.
